Day 12 - Is writing a book still an option in this era?

In your Gap Year, you're supposed to have a lot of free time (well, so far I didn't really experienced it...). So one idea I had was: why not to write a book.
But just after I had this idea I questioned myself: "is it so impactful to write books not in the internet era?"
Is there any other better way to communicate and impact other than a book?
